Traveling to Fort Collins or Northern Colorado with Airbnb? We are so glad to show you the gorgeous area we call home! There are some important things you will want to bring, though, so read on to make sure you are prepared for your trip with these helpful Airbnb Tips!
For winter travel, make sure the vehicle you will be driving is equipped with all weather tires or snow tires. You may want to keep an emergency kit in the car, too, including a blanket, water, snacks, and kitty litter for traction. Bring lots of layers including wool socks, pants, and long sleeves. If you plan to do anything outside, don’t forget a winter jacket, boots, and windproof layers. You will also want sunblock and sunglasses if you plan to do anything in the snow such as skiing. If you plan to do winter hiking, buy or rent microspikes and snowshoes to facilitate those activities, plus a water bottle that won’t freeze when it gets really cold. You will also want to bring lotion, as it gets very dry and harsh on your skin in the winter. Northern Colorado can get snow from October/November until late April/May.
In the summer, bring a bathing suit, sunblock, sunglasses and sandals. Typical summer attire is fitting, plus warmer layers for at night, depending on the altitude and your activities (especially if camping or backpacking). Be aware that many properties in Northern Colorado do not have air conditioning, and some only have window air conditioning units in certain rooms, so if this is important to you be sure to check the listings and inquire with the host.
Any other time of year, you should not need any special attire or gear (spring and fall).
